On Sunday the 16th I performed as part of the Open Mic Singing Competition and am excited to announce that I won a place in the Area Finals !!! I had such an amazing day, met lots of wonderful and talented people – and had a great laugh !! I feel very happy to be able to do it again in Southampton at the next round. Last Sunday I performed Behind My Eyelids for Future Music’s Songwriting Contest. It was the regional finals and I came second !!! This means the song has made it into the National Grand Finals in London – date TBC. Thank you to my wonderfully talented friend Sam Black who was on backing vocals, such a star to work with. I am so so so so so so excited to announce that I am playing a gig in my homeland of Cornwall. Apart from playing at Looe Music Festival in 2013 and 2014, I haven’t played a show in over 7 years !!

The Gylly Beach Cafe is an absolutely gorgeous venue in the heart of one of my favourite towns. I lived in Falmouth for a couple of years back in the ‘Es Vedra’ days and so it is a place very special to me. Es Vedra played at the Gylly Beach Cafe last in 2008 with Ben Howard supporting (!) It’s going to be really fun to be back.

So firstly, expect scrummy food, beautiful views of the beach and ocean… and sand in your toes.

Secondly, it is going to be a Jenna Bennett and Friends set, so you can expect special guests joining me on stage for sing-songs, reunions and giggles.

I really can’t wait, what a special night.

Hello all.

So there’s a lot going on in my little world. I have been very busy with gigs, writing and being in the studio and I cannot wait to share my adventures with you. I will be releasing my new single in August which is very exciting, and will make sure that all my music is available to you online. There will be many more gigs and new music coming this year, so bare with and await further news.

I haven’t been gigging with my band for a couple of years now, however Sam is still very much a part of my project, more so than ever. My new recording will see us collaborating lots. I’m finding it really fun writing for two vocals and can’t wait to show you more or what I am up to behind the scenes at the moment….

Hello All,

So I have spent the last couple of months finishing a new song that I have been writing called Between The Walls.

Today I thought.. ‘screw it, let’s share this already!’ So i set up garageband (yes I know, such a pro) and got out my SM58… and 8 hours later my ears bled and I settled with what I had done…..

I hope to go in the studio next year and can’t wait to get a solid and good quality version down, but for now – fill your boots 😛  I hope it can mean something to you all, as much as this one does for me xxx

Hello all  – oh how I miss you !! I thought it was about time I was in touch having had a busy, and very different couple of years. You’ll be pleased to hear that I am revamping my website which will have all the updates you need on what I have been up to !!

So the past 18months have been a bit different for me. I was not performing a lot due to going on a bit of a self-searching mission whilst studying my teacher training. A lot has changed for me, but I hope you will be pleased to hear that I was still writing and loving my music everyday, I have lots to share with you.

I am now a certified music teacher and I work with some incredible students who are very inspiring. In addition to these students, I run a choir in Hove called HOWL which is the highlight of my week. You know how much I love my harmonies right ?! I have also been busy beginning my career as a session singer too. I worked with Mon Frere on there first album and also with local singer/songwriter Luke Jones on his recent EP.

You will see that I stopped running my nights at The Quadrant after years of being an Open Mic Host and Promoter in Brighton. I hope to return to this but meanwhile I am enjoying attending different nights and being part of the musicians circle again 🙂

I am now setting up a new project so things are happening… and I will be back on the live scene again, I promise. xx

My new website is going to showcase all of this in detail so you can see and hear what I am up to, and it will also push you to get involved 🙂 I look forward to sharing it all with you.
